THE ZACC IS CURRENTLY HIRING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION:

The ZACC is hiring a Front Desk/Customer Service Representative to serve as the immediate liaison between ZACC and the Missoula community and surrounding areas. Be the first smiling face visitors see when coming to the ZACC in search of accessible arts experiences.

General Day-to-Day Operations and Responsibilities include:

Greet and maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards all individuals using the ZACC, respond to in-person customer inquiries and provide additional assistance as needed. Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints, process cash, check, and credit card payments, answer incoming calls with warm and welcoming attitude, respond to basic inquiries and/or direct to appropriate individuals or departments as needed. Call artists, customers, and/or class attendees to relay information as needed/provided by ZACC staff. Maintain a general knowledge of upcoming ZACC classes and events, and verbally promote upcoming classes and events to visitors.

Manage the day to day operations of the ZACC Paint Your Own Pottery Studio by maintaining a clean and professional studio environment, encourage and process sales of items, ensure correct labeling/pricing of PYOP products, provide assistance & help to assure customers adhere to PYOP best practices, load and fire finished pottery in the kiln, and unload and package fired pottery for customer pick-up. 

Artist Shop, Gallery Sales, and Community Art Supply Closet

Assist with general display of art, answer basic questions about products & the artists who created them, and know when & where to direct more advanced questions. Have basic knowledge of available Art Closet materials, record all gallery purchases in the Gallery Sales Binder, contact customers when their purchased art is available for pickup.

Job Requirements:

This position requires strict compliance with the ZACC’s Equity and Inclusion Statement.

Must have a passion for and understanding of the ZACC's mission to provide accessible arts experiences for all. 

Must be a team player, and have strong communication, organizational, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills. 

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

• At least two years of customer service experience preferred.

• Experience loading/firing kilns, glazing, and recycling clay preferred.

• General arts background, knowledge, and experience always a plus. 

Physical Conditions

• Position will require sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching.

• Must be comfortable on feet for prolonged periods of time.

• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.

• Must be comfortable on a ladder.

Technology

• Must be able or be able to be trained to use multi-line telephone.

• Must be able to use, navigate, and direct people to various  areas and features on ZACC website.

• Must be able to use, and navigate MAC products.

• Must be able to use and navigate POS system.

Benefits and Pay: 

The Customer Service position is a full-time position, paid hourly at a starting rate of $15 per hour. On average the customer service position will be scheduled for 32-40 hours per week. Most scheduled shifts will occur during regular hours of operation, both during the week and weekend, however, some shifts may occur outside of regular business hours.

The ZACC provides a creative work environment. Full time employees receive IRA contribution match up to 3%, have twenty (20) days of PTO per year that accrue at a rate of 5 days per quarter, 11 paid Holidays per year, a monthly health insurance reimbursement program, access to professional development opportunities and free access to classes for self, as well as discounts on goods/merchandise purchased at the ZACC.
