  • BUSINESS & FACILITIES MANAGER

    Position: Business & Facilities Manager

    Position Type: Full-Time 

    Salary Range: $57,000–$62,000 annually (Salary Exempt), DOE 

    Some evening and weekend work is required for events and fundraisers. 

    Benefits: Partial Health Insurance Coverage + Substantial Paid Time Off 

    Reports to: Executive Director 

    About ZACC 

    Zootown Arts Community Center (ZACC) is a vibrant, multidisciplinary arts hub in downtown Missoula, serving thousands of community members each year through exhibitions, performances, music and visual classes, and creative experiences. ZACC is a fast-paced, community-centered nonprofit that values creativity, collaboration, and accessibility in the arts. ZACC’s mission is to build community through accessible art experiences for all people. 

    Position Summary 

    The Business & Facilities Manager is a key leadership role responsible for the financial operations and physical infrastructure of ZACC. This position ensures that the organization runs efficiently, sustainably, and safely by overseeing bookkeeping, budgeting support, facility management, and operational systems. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is both detail-oriented and proactive. 

    Key Responsibilities  

    Financial Management & Bookkeeping 50% 

    • Manage accounts payable/receivable 

    • Maintain financial records (QuickBooks or similar) 

    • Reconcile bank accounts and track cash flow 

    • Provides budgeting and financial reporting support 

    • Provides budgeting and financial reporting for Grant tracking 

    • Tracks grant expenditures from restricted grant funding. 

    • Assist with audits and compliance 

    • Process payroll in coordination with leadership 

    • Assist with annual 990 reporting 

    • Attend Monthly Finance Committee meetings 

    • Maintain the Depreciation schedule 

    • Make weekly deposits and manage petty cash for showroom and fundraising efforts. 

    Facilities & Building Management 10% 

    • Oversee maintenance and repairs 

    • Coordinate vendors and contractors 

    • Manage building systems and safety compliance 

    • Support facility needs for events and programming 

    Operational Systems & Administration 40% 

    • Develop internal systems for all departments. 

    • Manage contracts, insurance, and leases 

    • Oversee inventory and supplies 

    • Support front-of-house operations 

    • Coordinate shared spaces and rentals 

    • Manages rental contracts for long-term renters 

    • Assist with Human Resources 

    • Assist with Donor management 

    • Provide IT support for all departments. 

    Qualifications 

    Required 

    • Experience in bookkeeping or financial management 

    • Strong organizational and systems skills 

    • Experience in operations 

    • Proficiency with accounting software (QBO) 

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities 

    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills 

    Preferred 

    • Nonprofit experience 

    • Arts or creative sector familiarity 

    • Budgeting and reporting experience

Employee Access, Training and Expectations -- Our organization values, ethical standards, policies and practices are committed to the protection of user information. In general, our business practices limit employee access to confidential information, and limit the use and disclosure of such information to authorized persons, processes and transactions.
  10. How Can You Access and Correct Your Information? You may request access to all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain in our database by emailing us using the contact form provided to you within the site structure of our website.
  11. Do We Disclose Information to Outside Parties? We may provide aggregate information about our customers, sales, website traffic patterns and related website information to our affiliates or reputable third parties, but this information will not include personally identifying data, except as otherwise provided in this privacy policy.
  12. What About Legally Compelled Disclosure of Information? We may disclose information when legally compelled to do so, in other words, when we, in good faith, believe that the law requires it or for the protection of our legal rights.

We are grateful for your donation and support of our organization. If you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to our organization please contact us. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.
