A Natural History of the Wind by Jacob CowgillA Natural History of the Wind explores three ways of engaging with the wind through photography, wind map prints, and kites, approaches that observe, measure, and collaborate with this invisible yet powerful force. Rooted in the landscapes of north, central Montana and shaped by childhood memory and family life, the work captures the visible effects of something that cannot be directly seen. Through black-and-white photography, the exhibition documents the wind’s imprint on place, while the kites offer a more playful and collaborative perspective, inviting a shift from viewing wind as a destructive force to experiencing it as a creative partner, echoing a sense of curiosity, & wonder.

Stories That I Carry by Aiyona BrodieStories That I Carry explores identity, connection, and the balance between strength and softness through drawing. Bringing together symbolic imagery, including a woman with a fro, an eagle feather, a tipi, and a teddy bear, the work reflects confidence and individuality, guidance and protection, home and cultural roots, and comfort and vulnerability. Each piece weaves together personal meaning and lived experience, expressing how identity is shaped by both where we come from and what we carry with us. Rooted in Aiyona’s artistic journey since early childhood, the exhibition invites viewers to reflect on their own stories and the symbols that define them.
