6 Week Relief Printmaking Workshop (Monday Sessions)
All levels welcome // Mondays // February 1, 8, 15, 22 and March 1, 8 // 6-8 PM // $125
In this course, students will explore the various materials and techniques used to create single and multi-colored relief prints! Beginners will learn the basics, while more advanced students will work on refining their skills. Students will be provided with a private Zoom link prior to the first day of class.
Course Syllabus:
Class 1 (January 4): Introductions, Power Point presentation of contemporary prints, materials overview, image transfer demonstration, and mark-making demonstration
Class 2 (January 11): Registration, rolling ink, hand pull a print, and share your progress (to share your progress, email patricia@zootownarts.org via link below, or hold your work up to the camera during class!)
Class 3 (January 18): Adding color, multi-block registration, stamping, Chine-collé, collage, and share your progress
Class 4 (January 25): One-on-one tutorial with Instructor, print work, share progress
Class 5 (February 1): One-on-one tutorial with Instructor, print work, share progress
Class 6 (February 8): One-on-one tutorial with Instructor, course recap, print work, share final prints
