JUNE 2026: PLUSHIE GUTS
This series is a collaboration between artists Tennessee Glenn and Alissa Wynne. It was inspired when they repainted wooden cutouts of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves into a small army of mutated creatures. They continued to collect more thrifted pieces, reshaping them with acrylic paint, paint pens, and occasionally googly eyes. This work is a celebration of the magic in doing things with your hands in a world increasingly reliant on artificial intelligence and language learning models. The artists hope this work will inspire the viewer to invest in their own resourcefulness and creativity.
Tennessee Glenn is a mixed media artist living in Missoula Montana. She has studied fine art at Northwest Community College, Middle Tennessee State University, and the University of Montana where she has earned 9/10ths of a BFA. She also has a certificate in Rat Tickling from Purdue.
Alissa Wynne is a mixed media artist living in Seattle, Washington. She got her BFA at the University of Montana. Since college Alissa has been selling art at local venues, building and repairing family properties, and finding time to be creative with a busy schedule. Her focus is primarily painting and drawing, with an emphasis on figures and animals.
