Our Mission

Cultivating community through accessible arts experiences for all.

Top Three is a Great Place To Be

This year, for the first time ever, the ZACC placed in the top three of Missoula’s favorite places to experience live music (Missoula’s Choice Awards 2022, Missoulian). Our venue, The Show Room, took third – behind the Kettlehouse Amphitheater and The Wilma, both iconic Missoula venues. We were beyond ecstatic to receive this recognition, and we plan to uphold our end of the bargain and continue bringing awesome tours to Missoula, while also being one of your favorite places to watch local musicians, local comedy, and local theatre.

This August alone, The Show Room at the ZACC will present over two dozen performances and other public events. Our music programming in August runs the gamut with tours like Kiltro (w/ local opener Jesse The Ocelot), AJJ / WHY?, and Courtney Marie Andrews (w/ local opener Dylan Running Crane), to Missoula-based rock shows like Mido Skip + Wet Dog Nightmare, Black Shore w/ SenterLine, and Will Orchard + Jess Kerber + Dusty the Kid + adam, to Missoula legacy shows like No-Fi Soul Rebellion + Cat Positive (w/ local opener The Western States), the Montana Songwriter Showcase with Susan Gibson, Tom Catmull, Jenn Adams, & John Floridis, and Patti Nolan & Friends. We also have two comedy shows this month – Revival Comedy Presents Brad Wenzel, and Revival Comedy Night for the Susan Wicklund Fund. And a staged reading of a new musical – The Retail Song Cycle by Cameron Michael Fehring. And a Disney-themed drag show presented by The Imperial Sovereign Court of the State of Montana’s College of Monarchs. And FREE events like the Montana Area Music Association’s Open Mic Night, Yes Fest theatre camp performance, and ARTS Missoula Presents ‘Cultural Identity in the Arts Speaker Series: Intersectionality’. And that’s unbelievably not all … but you can always see everything coming up on our Show Room calendar of events, just visit:

We want to thank our patrons for this awesome recognition, but also the incredible community of musicians and performers in Missoula. We are so lucky to have them in our little city, and to be able to provide them with a room worthy of their talents. Thank you all for helping us support them, for enjoying their work, and for coming out for those out-of-town tours, too. We couldn’t do it without you all, and anyway, why would we want to?

With gratitude,

We believe in the power of the arts to create the human connections, innovations, and healing to make significant positive change in our world and our community, and the ZACC’s programs serving youth, veterans, families, and seniors are on the forefront of that change.
