CULTIVATING COMMUNITY THROUGH ACCESSIBLE ARTS EXPERIENCES FOR ALL

Celebrate Summer in the ZACC Print Shop

Summer’s here, and I’m excited. I’m excited for flip flops, I’m excited for the heat, I’m excited for floating the river. And I’m so excited for you all to meet the newest member of the ZACC team, Print Shop and Gallery Assistant Delaney Wascherol! Delaney is such a welcome addition, and will help us increase access to the ZACC Print Shop and keep our (three!) galleries running smoothly.

With Delaney on board, we’re expanding Print Shop drop-in hours to 6-8 PM on Wednesday evenings and 11 AM to 3 PM on Saturdays. Stop by and learn all about the variety of printing equipment we have available — including a Monarch Letterpress, an Odyssey 4400 Screen Printing Press, 5 portable screen printing presses, a Workhorse T-shirt Press, a Laguna Etching Press Model 2648, a Conrad Press, and Ferric Chloride etching baths. Beyond our equipment, we have most supplies needed to get printing — you just need to provide ink and paper! We have multiple access plans for folks depending on your printmaking needs, and we would love for you to join us and use our space to create your next project, portfolio, or commission.

Want to start printmaking but need some inspiration first? Stop by the ZACC this month to view our Last Best Print Fest Archives (2021 marked the tenth anniversary of Last Best Print Fest, our annual month-long celebration of all things printmaking), opening Friday, July 2 from 5-8 PM in the Blackfoot Communications Gallery and exhibiting through the month of July. Or keep an eye out for our fall youth and adult printmaking classes, which will be announced later this month.

Hope to print with you soon!

We believe in the power of the arts to create the human connections, innovations, and healing to make significant positive change in our world and our community, and the ZACC’s programs serving youth, veterans, families, and seniors are on the forefront of that change.
