It’s a New Year! 2020 is over! And we just want to take a moment to let you know how truly grateful we all are for your support. We are so lucky to live in a city that values and supports the arts, not just in word but in deed. We’ve been through a lot over the past twelve months, just like you. And we’ve persevered, and sometimes even flourished, with the (metaphorical, cause touching is still a no-no) helping hands of all the incredible members of this creative community. Thank you.
Now that 2020 is over, let’s all breathe a sigh of relief and ‘shake it out’, and let’s welcome 2021 with hope and open arms. We’ve all been cooped up for many, many months, and with the vaccine in its first stages of distribution that faint light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter. We can’t wait to be in physical community again, and we are excited to take baby steps — with you — toward that goal.
As we inch forward to that bright daylight, we hope you’ll join us, little by little, in becoming more creative and self-expressive this year. Take a class (here at the ZACC via Zoom, or at another amazing local art institution), make art at home or outside, grow things and add random objects to your garden (it’s really a living collage when you think about it), learn a new skill — artistic or otherwise. Take advantage of every passing moment and try to imagine, and create, the new world as you wish it to be. That’s our plan for the year, anyway.
With love and gratitude,
