 tet/\n\nThe Quiet Ruckus Octet is a genre-blurring jazz octet that aims to
  showcase many of Missoula’s finest improvising musicians in a dynamic and
  spontaneous little-big-band. As an eight-piece ensemble (five horns and r
 hythm section)\, the band captures the power of a big band\, along with th
 e intimacy and spontaneity of a small ensemble. The night will feature ori
 ginal music by bandleader/trombonist Mitchell Bailey\, along with arrangem
 ents of music by Wayne Shorter\, Alan Ferber\, Chris Cornell and more. In 
 the tradition of bands such as The Bad Plus\, The John Hollenbeck Large En
 semble\, we hope to both present original takes on classic works of the ja
 zz cannon\, as well as reinforce and celebrate the musical contributions o
