 rint Shop | $150 | Taught by Patricia Thornton\n\nScreen printing is super
  fun and can be used to print on a wide variety of surfaces including pape
 r and fabric. In this comprehensive 5 week class students will learn the h
 istory of screen printing\, how to prep artwork for screens\, transfer art
 work onto a surface\, trouble shoot\, experiment and much more! All skill 
 levels welcome! Students who take this course will have access to the ZACC
  Print Shop outside of class during our regular business hours and\, after
  the course ends\, will have met the requirements for continued Print Shop
  access (regular Print Shop usage fees apply one full week after course en
 ds). \n\n**This class will not meet on May 9 but students still have acces
 s to the print shop during that week\n\nMATERIALS REQUIRED FOR THIS COURSE
 \nNote: these materials enable students to print outside of the course as 
 well as during class. \n\nBeginner (Single Color) Silkscreen:\n● 1 aluminu
 m framed silkscreens 20' x 24' (please DON'T order anything smaller than t
 his) \n         ○ Screens available at the ZACC ($10 for used if available
  and $25 new)\n                                  OR                       
        \n         ○ http://www.goldupusa.com/ has inexpensive good screens
  \n         ○ SEE BELOW FOR SCREEN MESH COUNT INFO\n\n● Packing tape\n● Bl
 ack acrylic water based ink\n● Various printmaking papers\n● Vellum for ha
 nd drawing stencils (you can also print B&W images onto transparencies)\n●

 hem. Your ink will smell like salsa and it’s gross. \n● You will need a lo
 t of tape: \n            ○ Masking tape \n            ○ Scotch tape \n    
         ○ Packing tape (this is used most often) \n● Pins and Tabs for reg
 istration \n● Vellum for hand drawing stencils (you can also print B&W ima
 ges onto transparencies)\n●Rubylith\n● Mylar \n    ○ for flap registration
  \n            ○ for hand drawing stencils \n● Paint brushes in various si
 zes (synthetic watercolor/acrylic brushes work best\, you don't need to pu

 e with a large tip. Permanent markers work okay (but aren’t really opaque
