  printing is a relief practice of printmaking that involves carving into a
  block or stamp that is then pressed onto paper or fabric using ink. This 
 introductory five-week course will introduce students to fundamental linoc
 ut and woodcut block printing techniques and guide them through making the
 ir own original print editions. \n\nIf you are interested in taking this c
 ourse but are uncomfortable with in-person instruction at this time\, plea
 se contact Joe Kirk at the ZACC to discuss potential accommodations for di
 gital participation.\n\nMATERIALS NEEDED FOR COURSE\nYou should be able to
  find any of the following materials locally at the UM bookstore\, but the
 y will be substantially more expensive than they are from the online retai
 lers linked below. \n\nCarving Tools that would work for Wood and Linoleum

 ss of what kind of block you decide upon you are going to want to have one
