g in the Blackfoot Communications Gallery \n\nThe ZACC is thrilled to pres
ent works by Hannah Kautto in the Blackfoot Communications Gallery through
out the month of April. Works are available for purchase\, and the artist
will be present at the opening reception. \n\nABOUT THE ART\n“My work occ
upies the line between functional and sculptural ceramics. I invoke questi
ons about identity and human relationships. In my work\, I often depict th
e human face to captivate the narrative of human emotion and body language
. I am interested in people's social norms and how we interact with one an
other. We live in a time with an overwhelming abundance of information. El
ements of my work are highly decorated with bright colors and over-the-top
sensory overload. My work is intentionally overwhelming and awkward and i
s a direct response to the environment around me and how I feel. I approac
h my work with a playful and whimsical aesthetic.” \n\nABOUT THE ARTIST
