  Main Gallery through January 28\, with works available for purchase \n\nT
 he ZACC is delighted to present\, in partnership with Open AIR\, their gro
 up exhibition of 19 Artists-in-Residence from 2023. This show opens in our
  Main Gallery on First Friday\, January 5\, from 5-8 PM\, and exhibits at 
 the ZACC through January 28. It will then travel to Butte\, MT\, and exhib
 it at the Foreground Gallery in February and March. \n\nABOUT OPEN AIR \nO
 pen AIR is a placed-based Artist-in-Residency program that embeds artists 
 in a variety of locations in Montana. The artists are immersed in a site's
  location\, culture\, history\, and daily life during their residency. The
  artwork in this exhibition reflects the time that the artists spent inhab
 iting the site of their residency location. The artists gain access to unu
 sual and interesting opportunities\, like engaging with scientists\, speci
 alists\, and community members\,  while allowing them time to explore and 
 research whatever sparks their curiosity about a site.  \n\nABOUT THIS EXH
 IBITION \nThe artists in this exhibition experienced a wide range of oppor
 tunities and exposure\,  from working in a public-facing studio space at t
 he Missoula Public Library to living alone in a cabin in the Selway Bitter
 root Wilderness. Some artists worked alongside scientists at the Flathead 
 Lake Biological Station and American Priaire\, while others immersed were 
 in a community in Philipsburg\, MT. \n\nOpen AIR works with artists from a
 ll disciplines. In-Habit features sculpture\, drawing\, video\, painting\,
  fiber\, poetry\, printmaking\, animation\, quilting\, photography\, and w
 riting\, all inspired by the residency experience. \n\nIn 2023\, artists p
 articipated in Open AIR residency sites across Montana. The Missoula sites
  include Garden City Harvest\, Home ReSource\, Missoula Butterfly House & 
 Insectarium\, Missoula Public Library\, Montana Natural History Center\, a
 nd Moon-Randolph Homestead.  \n\nOutside of Missoula\, the residency sites
  were at American Prairie\, in central Montana\;  Flathead Lake Biological
  Station\, Polson\, MT\; Hamilton\, MT\; Philipsburg\, MT\; Selway Bitterr
 oot Wilderness\; and Travelers’ Rest State Park in Lolo\, MT.  \n\nThe fea
 tured artists are local\, regional\, and national artists.  \n\nMontana Ar
