X-WR-CALDESC:Gallery Opening on First Friday\, May 5\, 5-8 PM\nExhibiting i
n the Blackfoot Communications Gallery through end of May\n\nThe ZACC is p
roud to present ‘Empowering Women Paintings’\, works by Amanda Mazur\, in
our Blackfoot Communications Gallery for the month of May\, opening First
 Friday\, May 5 from 5 to 8 PM.\n\nARTIST STATEMENT\nThis is a collection o
f my first acrylic paintings. Earlier paintings capture my love of the wor
ld's beauty through the landscape while more recent paintings focus on wom
en. Throughout my art\, I try to speak to the resilience & strength presen
t in times of struggle with a theme of strong women. I aim to share emotio
ns of joy\, pain\, and fear in my art while showing the growth that comes
with experiencing these feelings that many of us share. During this time\,
I hope that these paintings serve as a reminder that no one is alone in w
hat they are feeling. Many of these paintings are inspired by the strong w
omen in my life that surround me and continuously support me.\n\nARTIST BI
