X-WR-CALDESC:Gallery Opening on First Friday\, April 7\, 5-8 PM\nExhibiting
in the Blackfoot Communications Gallery through end of April\n\nThe ZACC
is proud to present ‘Invisible Disabilities: Becoming Seen’ – A Visual Art
Showcase brought to you by the Montana Art Therapy Association\, in our B
lackfoot Communications Gallery for the month of April\, opening First Fri
 day\, April 7 from 5 to 8 PM. \n\nABOUT THE SHOW\n\nIn 2022\, ZACC Print S
hop Manager Patricia Thornton launched the idea of an art show surrounding
the theme of unseen or invisible disabilities. Many of us walk through li
fe with unspoken or unseen disabilities that affect our capacities to func
tion fully each day. When the idea was presented to the Montana Art Therap
y Association (MTATA)\, the group felt it was the perfect match for them\,
and decided to work with the ZACC to represent this idea through visual a
rt. A few examples of invisible disabilities include depression\, learning
disabilities\, traumatic brain injuries\, and various forms of neurodiver
sity. There are many more examples\, and we hope this show brings awarenes
s to those of us who experience invisible disabilities – and that the stig
ma surrounding these struggles continues to decrease.
