X-WR-CALDESC:Gallery Opening on First Friday\, March 3\, 5-8 PM\nExhibiting
in the Blackfoot Communications Gallery through end of March\n\nThe ZACC
is thrilled to present ‘Garden Party’\, works by Jules Lucero\, in our Bla
ckfoot Communications Gallery and ‘Phantom’ Gallery for the month of March
 \, opening First Friday\, March 3 from 5 to 8 PM. \n\nABOUT THE SHOW\nIn J
ules’ own words “This collection of relief prints combine both methodical
labor\, as well as creative experimentation. I am drawn to carving animals
because they hold the qualities of wonder and quaintness. This series pre
 sents not just an image\, but a story\, exploring a rabbit's relation to t
he environment. Montana and its wonderful creatures and vegetation offer a
n endless well of ideas for my work. These prints serve as a reflection of
everyday valuable moments like gardening\, baking and creating.”\n\nABOUT
THE ARTIST\nJules Lucero is a printmaker born in Great Falls\, Montana. L
ucero graduated from the University of Montana in 2020 with a Bachelor of
Fine Arts with an emphasis in Painting and Drawing and a Minor in Art Hist
ory and Criticism. After graduating Lucero worked on an OpenAIR residency
in Philipsburg\, Montana\, where she continued to practice traditional pri
ntmaking techniques\, during her time she began drawing her inspiration fr
om the rich history of Montana\, and printmaking.
