:\n“The last year has been hard for everyone. The way I dealt with the fea
r and isolation was to explore color and line in an organic way. I didn't
start with a preconceived notion for these drawings. I let whatever my han
d and head felt lead the work. So\, these are in a sense\, drawings of my
pandemic brainscape. I have always had a problem giving up on a drawing be
fore it was done\, but I had all the time in the world to spend on these.
A few of the works are ones I started years ago\, but now had the time and
patience to finish.”\n\nABOUT MELANIE GARDNER\nI am self taught in too ma
ny things to mention. Former farmer and fiber artist. Lately\, rediscoveri
ng color on paper. Constantly blending media due to an incurable curiosity
 . I count things for a living.\n
