  a vibrant local music scene. It emphasizes the important work and experie
 nce of women and native people. Missoula’s milieu drew musicians in and se
 rved as a launching pad for careers\, both musical and non-musical. The me
 mories and legacies of past musical venues\, scenes and events remain stro
 ng in the city today. \n\nThe exhibit is the work of University of Montana
  students who conducted research and oral history interviews before writin
 g and designing the exhibit panels.\n
