ZACC Classes
All classes require a 3 person minimum to run.
Artists as Educators/Offering a Class
Affordable access to creative and innovative artist-led classes creates a new revenue opportunity for artists and an opportunity to share their gift directly with the public. By lifting economic, educational, and institutional restrictions, the Community Arts Educational Program directly links artist skills and talents to one another and the public while at the same time creating a physical place for networking. The greatest benefit of this program is a true sense of community, fostered by ownership of the space, classes, and art supplies. The program is funded in part by the Gallagher Western Montana Charitable Foundation, Inc. If you’d like to offer a class, please send a cover letter, list of references, a resume, and justification of need. We don’t want to replicate services of our partners: the Clay Studio of Missoula, Missoula Art Museum, or Dickinson Adult Learning Center. Please send to info@zootownarts.org. Get Involved.

More about our Programming...
Community Arts Education Programming
Community Arts Education Programming lies at the center of the ZACC mission to provide art instruction, experiences, and opportunities to a wide variety of ages and incomes. Adult education programming consists of professional development workshops, resources, and networking opportunities to strengthen the careers of local artists – both amateur and professional alike. Creative teens receive support and education through our mentoring program. The ZACC is an outlet for teens to express themselves through art, learn and practice skills, and interact with professionals in the field. Our most successful educational programming serves children from the entire valley area regardless of income. During the school year, our Young Artist Afterschool Program engages children in community art projects such as murals and mosaics, and individual projects. More concentrated art enrichment comes through the nine different camps in the summer; each focuses on a different discipline or culture.
Arts Education Community
The ZACC seeks to promote the economic and professional development of artists, poets, writers, and small businesses and community groups, whom can use the gallery/classroom for creative endeavors, classes, or community forums while being inspired by the artwork around them. The 200+ families whom have attended classes demonstrate the need for a public space in which to carry out arts activities. Whether it’s a teen group or a professional painter, we want to serve the creative needs for art experiences, works of poetry, reproductions of detailed and intensive labored drawings, education, and support the do-it-yourself practice of allowing artists to teach their talents and unique curriculum which is available in other cities, but not currently in Missoula. The ZACC wants to be a resource center for artists willing to share their gifts with the public.
